My journey into the world of data science and technology began in my second year of B.Tech at JNTU-Gurajada, Vizianagaram.

started small — learning Excel, building dashboards, and drawing insights from simple datasets. From there, I moved on to SQL for data querying, and then to Python, where I explored powerful libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn to handle and visualize data. These early steps not only deepened my curiosity but also built a strong technical foundation.

While exploring learning paths, I stumbled upon a video on YouTube titled “BTech 4 Years Roadmap in Telugu.” That video emphasized how gaining research experience early, especially through internships at premier institutions, could be a game-changer. It sparked a sense of ambition in me — a desire to work on real-world problems and contribute meaningfully to science and technology.

Initially, I aimed to secure an internship at IIT Hyderabad. Unfortunately, I missed the application deadline — a valuable lesson in the importance of preparation and timing. But life had something else in store. Through my uncle, a scientist at NRSC–ISRO, I discovered a new opportunity — one that would shape my entire career direction.

My internship at NRSC–ISRO was nothing short of transformative. I worked on a project titled “Band-to-Band Misregistration Detection in Satellite Images” — a real-world challenge in remote sensing and satellite image processing. I developed a Python-based GUI tool, integrating advanced computer vision techniques like ORB, SIFT, and Phase Correlation. This project exposed me to the fascinating intersection of satellite data, image processing, and data science.

Every day at ISRO was a learning experience. I was surrounded by brilliant minds solving complex challenges that impact how we observe and understand our planet. I learned that tackling real-world problems requires not just coding skills, but also curiosity, patience, and the drive to keep learning.

Today, I continue building on this foundation — working on diverse projects from healthcare analytics to business intelligence. My ultimate goal is to become a data scientist who can bridge the gap between complex data and actionable, impactful insights that help society in meaningful ways.
